- Increased Muscle Recruitment & Resistance: Performing an exercise in water allows a higher number of muscles to work than the same exercise would outside of water. Also, the resistance water provides is proportional to the speed at which the body moves. This allows the intensity and resistance of the exercise to be easily adjusted.

This, combined with the unweighting effects of water on the body, provides optimal conditions for working on balance and mobility with individuals that otherwise would have high difficulty or poor safety with traditional balance and mobility training.
