In addition to providing exceptional programming to address fitness needs, their experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant provides for improved management of individuals with history of pain, surgeries, or other medical conditions. Should I see a Physical Therapist or a Personal Trainer?
If you have pain, physical limitations, or a recent injury that could limit your ability to move a physical therapy appointment would likely be the right place to start. Our physical therapists will help you regain your strength, mobility, and function with a customized treatment plan that should allow you to further develop your overall fitness. Select Therapy allows a seamless approach for patients to transition to personal training sessions to set and achieve further fitness goals. Of course, you do not need to be a current or past patient to be able to utilize our personal trainers!
How are we different from personal trainers at the gym?
Our personal trainers have completed a certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Additionally, they possess advanced knowledge in the movement of the human body because they also are license Physical Therapy Assistants. With the extensive background and understanding of other underlying health complications and issues, we will be able to provide safe and effective routines that are specific to you.
