What is a foot orthotic?

A foot orthotic is a device that is placed inside a shoe to provide support to the foot in efforts to maintain a more anatomically correct position which in turn can reduce stress in the foot, leg and elsewhere throughout the body. A foot orthotic looks very similar to a shoe insole.

Who would benefit from an Orthotic?

Foot orthotics can be helpful for a variety of conditions including:

• Localized foot/ankle pain
• Plantar fasciitis
• Flat feet or collapsing arches
• Knee pain
• Hip or low back pain
