The pelvic floor contains all of the organs, muscles, nerves, vascular, connective tissue, and myofascial structures contained in the pelvis. The muscles of the pelvic floor are critical in controlling bladder and bowel function, sexual function, breathing dynamics, and pregnancy. Together with the abdominal and back muscles, the pelvic floor muscles offer support and stabilization to the spine.
Functions of the Pelvic Floor include:

Urinary Incontinence

Our pelvic floor providers have advanced post graduate training in treating pelvic floor dysfunction and pelvic pain. A thorough evaluation will be performed and a plan of care will be created specific to your needs. Our pelvic floor therapists are trained in internal pelvic floor assessment, though this is not always necessary.
