WHAT OUR PATIENTS ARE SAYING

John Miller
September 29, 2021.
Have been treated by two therapists (Becca and Brenna) for back muscle spasms. They are both very competent, excellent "bed side manner", professionalism and skill. Their therapy and advice is improving my quality of life. Would actively seek treatment from them again if/when necessary.

I found Select Therapy helpful, very conscious of my comfort during this Covid time, and a very knowledgeable physical therapist. And I got relief

Physical Therapy is an effective, non-invasive treatment option for Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) dysfunction. The TMJ is essential in talking, eating, and normal daily activities. TMJ disorders may be diagnosed by your dentist or doctor. When the TMJ causes dysfunction, it is often diagnosed as Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD).

Common Symptoms of Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD)

  • Pain or tenderness of the jaw, mouth, ear, or temple region

  • Clicking, popping, or clunking of the TMJ

  • Catching or locking when opening or closing the mouth

  • Difficulty and/or pain with chewing or talking

  • Headaches and neck pain

  • Swelling on the side of the face

  • A sudden change in dental occlusion (the way the upper and lower teeth fit together)

Our physical therapists at Select Therapy have extensive training and experience in treating people with TMJ dysfunction and TMD. Whether this is a new issue or you have had jaw issues for 20+ years, we can help!

Feel free to call our office for more information or to answer any questions specific to your needs.
